The new red band trailer for Kraven the Hunter shows Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing a version of the legendary Spider-Man villain with no shortage of daddy issues – or abs.

An origin story set before he crosses paths with Spider-Man, we see young Kraven mauled by a lion in front of his dad (Russell Crowe) who leaves him for dead. Kraven's blood mixes with the lion's and, from there, it's Morbin' Kraven time.

The trailer then reveals a fully-grown Kraven, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, killing multiple enemies in increasingly creative ways. This culminates in Taylor-Johnson's character actually biting off someone's nose and spitting it at the camera. Watch the full trailer in all its bonkers glory.

Also starring Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, and Alessandro Nivola, and directed by J.C. Chandor, Kraven the Hunter will open in theaters Oct. 6.
