Bethesda Softworks has officially announced a release date for its highly anticipated "NASA-punk" RPG, Starfield. The game is set to launch on September 6 and will be available on both PC and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement was made during the Xbox Games Showcase, where a new story trailer for the game was also revealed.

The story trailer for Starfield provides a mission briefing got players, introducing them to an elite group of explorers known as Constellation. There is also mention in the narration about a mission crucial for the future of humanity.

The trailer showcases impressive visuals (much improved from last year's trailer), gunplay, space combat, and exploration. In addition, the game boasts an expansive universe with over 1,000 explorable worlds.

The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one, allowing subscribers to download and play the game as soon as it launches. For the time being, the game is exclusive to Xbox and PC players.
