UPDATE: Jun. 28, 2023, 5:00 a.m. EDT This story has been updated.

Target is ramping up its anti-Prime Day antics.

The retailer will host a weeklong Target Circle Week event, its "biggest sale of the season," from Sunday, July 9 to Saturday, July 15, putting extra pressure on Amazon as it hosts its own flagship summer sale from July 11 to 12. The event will be open exclusively to members of Target Circle(opens in a new tab), its free-to-join loyalty program, with deals available in stores, online, and in the Target app.

This is a big shift from Target's Prime Day competition in years past, which were 72-hour Deal Days(opens in a new tab) sales open to everyone — not just Target Circle members. It's also a new time slot for a Target Circle Week; up until now, it's been a semi-annual event typically held in March and September.

According to a press release(opens in a new tab), July's Circle Week sale will feature discounts of up to 50% off on groceries, beauty, everyday essentials, and tech from a variety of brands. That includes big names like Dyson and Keurig in addition to private-label brands like Sun Squad(opens in a new tab) and Good & Gather(opens in a new tab).

What are the best Circle Week deals?

Here's a first glance at the kinds of deals that will be available during Circle Week. We'll update this list if/when Target reveals more:

How to sign up for Target Circle

As mentioned above, you'll need a membership to unlock Circle Week deals — same with Prime Day deals. Unlike Amazon's Prime subscription service(opens in a new tab), though, Target Circle is completely free to join. Just head over to Target.com/circle(opens in a new tab) and click "Create account." From there, you'll be asked for your name, email address, and phone number (optional). Voila! You are now a member.

Your membership comes with several perks in addition to Circle Week access:
