What is TikTok Wrapped? Here's how to download your data to try it for yourself

Move over, Spotify Wrapped.

Move over, Spotify Wrapped. You can get all your TikTok stats and data with a version of the beloved wrapped content soon.

In 2021, TikTok created its own version of Wrapped – "Year on TikTok" – which didn't arrive again last year. But third-party websites(opens in a new tab) offer the chance to quantify and collate your TikTok use. (How many hours do you spend on the app? How many videos have you watched?) Enter TikTok Wrapped(opens in a new tab), a website that offers a personalized journey through your time on TikTok.

For this, you'll first have to download your TikTok data(opens in a new tab) first. Here's how to do it.

How to download your TikTok data

Step 1: Open the TikTok app and tap Profile at the bottom

In order to try TikTok Wrapped, you have to request a copy of this data.

Step 2: Tap the Menu button at the top

Step 3: Head to Settings and privacy

Step 4: Tap Manage account, where you'll see the option to Download your data

Step 5: Follow the instructions to download your data

Step 6: From there, it may take up to 3 days to prepare a file, according to TikTok

Step 7: Once the file is prepared, you have up to four days to download it

To access the file, head back to Manage account (under settings and privacy).

Step 8: Tap Download data at the top
